Director of Academics

Kendrick is a deeply respected education professional with more than 20 years of experience in the field. As a Distinguished Master Teacher and a Transformational School Leader, Kendrick has served as a Director of Academics, Director of Education, Principal, Assistant Principal, District Office Curriculum and Instruction Trainer, District Office Instructional Coach, MTSS Coach, Behavior Interventionist, and Classroom Teacher.

Kendrick Kumabe is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. and is the acclaimed author of “Coaching Young Champions: Social Emotional Learning Considerations for the Virtual/Hybrid Educator.” Kendrick is the founder of Kenzumi Education Consulting and serves as the President of Superior Substitutes- a Las Vegas based education staffing firm committed to filling critical teacher shortages in underserved communities.

Kendrick Kumabe serves as the Director of Academics for Moriah Behavioral Health and is deeply involved in the work of teen rehabilitation and treatment. As a Franklin Covey “Leader in Me” contract coach, Kendrick helps other “Leader in Me Schools” become lighthouse schools of excellence under the Franklin Covey brand.
