The Moriah Model of Care

At Moriah Behavioral Health, we meet each client where they are when they join us. Our focus is on providing the best level of care for every client that comes to our programs by meeting their individual and clinical needs at the time of admission. One of our core missions is to support our clients throughout their treatment journey and beyond. In support of these ideals, we offer several levels of care for both our mood and anxiety clients and our eating disorder clients.

Residential Treatment Center (RTC)

This is our most structued level of care meaning it also represents the most support and oversight. Residential programs are located in comfortable homes staffed by our team, 24-hours-a-day. The treatment team includes a primary therapist, registered dietitian, diet tech, and nurse practitioner and weekly visits with a psychiatrist. Team members work onsite to both interact with clients throughout the day and meet any immediate needs as they arise. Experiential therapies offered in our residential level care include yoga, mind/body movement, equine and pet therapy, art and music.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Partial Hospitalization, often shortened to PHP, offers a less structured, yet still highly supportive environment. The professional team and programming are similar to residential care however clients participate for eight hours a day, five days per week. For those pursuing their academics, a dedicated period is included for school support and focus. As clients work through the PHP program, they are more able to advocate for themselves and their needs, utilize their coping skills, and show more personal initiative in doing those things. Clients within the program join together at breakfast, lunch, and snack times. This presents an excellent opportunity for everyone to interact and learn from one another in a communal area.

Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP)

Intensive Outpatient, or IOP, is the same programming as the PHP level, while clients participate for three hours each day, either in the morning or afternoon, four days per week. As with PHP, clients in IOP are continuing on their path to self-dependence with their needs, coping skills, and initiative. As appropriate, this level of care still includes a period of academic focus, to ensure students are able to maintain their progress. This abbreviated schedule allows clients to engage in a more regular work schedule or attend school. If difficulties arise, they are still able to find support and understanding with the treatment team.

Supportive Living

In some cases, clients participating in our PHP and IOP programs may not live in the area. When housing is required, we offer our supportive living homes. These are welcoming and comfortable houses that are staffed full-time. Transportation to and from programming is provided daily.

Virtual Programming

In some cases, onsite care may not be available for clients. Through technology, we are able to offer some levels of care within a virtual program. Clients are able to connect through the Internet to participate in programming.

Alumni Support

As part of our core philosophy, we provide support for our alumni clients and their loved ones. We offer ongoing resources to ensure our clients never feel alone on their healing journey. Through virtual meetings, activities, useful resources, and psychoeducation, our alumni services show our commitment to be with you for life.
